Olympic London welcomes Bond, James Bond

James Bond, the most well dressed agent of all seasons, supplements fifty years of action and introduces us to his world. Barbican Centre of London organizes the exhibition “Designing 007 – Fifty Years of Bond Style” presenting all the backstage secrets of legendary 007. It was in 1962” when Sean Connery was recommended to us for the very first time as James Bond starring at “Dr No”. He left the “stain” for what was to come next: more than 20 films and lots of insuperable appearances that remain unforgettable.

The exhibition, the production part of which lasted for more than two years gives us the opportunity to discover how this magic world of the famous 007 was inspired, drawn and finally materialized. From the drawings of his cars and his weapons to his pioneering gadgets and of course his impeccable suits.

You can find everything: suits that Hibert de Givenchy and Tom Ford designed, the Chesterfield coat and hat that Sean Connery wore in “Dr No” and Daniel Graig’s baby blue swim suit in Casino Royale. Even the missing garment was reproduced by Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming.
