PARIS FASHION WEEK F/W 2017/18 RECAP

Paris fashion week began on Tuesday, February 28 and ended on Wednesday, march 8 and there is a lot to memorize. Paris, being the Mecca of fashion, left us with a variety of interesting trend revivals and runways.  We witnessed Balenciaga returning to its fathers first designs, using silk, asymmetry and structure, Dries van Noten using oversized silhouettes, vibrant prints and faux fur jackets and Louis Vitton  dressing his skinny girls with slip dresses  combined with capes of rough fabric and sleeveless rough tartan dresses.

Meanwhile,  We couldn’t forget the primal shapes Rey Kawakubo used to accompany her women’s  silhouettes looking like stone age, nor  Alexander’s  McQueen primal spells and Chanel’s designs that took us literally to space.  Apart from the complimentary critics though, Yves Saint Laurent, maison Margela and Lanvin were called out for “undermining” women, or for introducing a too homogeneous runway.

As far as trend report is concerned , we saw circular bags, red apparel , slouchy boots , polka dots , vinyl and metallic fabric.
