Despite the absence of many of Russia’s biggest fashion ambassadors, more than 50 designers from Russia, Italy, Georgia and many other countries presented their collections on the runways of the Manege Central Exhibition Hall.

Focusing on the idea of strong women, some of the upcoming as well as already established designers showcased their newest collections; among them Mach and Mach from Georgia, who presented their “Girls Democracy” collection with bold monochrome suits and floral appliques, as well as Yasya Minochkina, who was inspired by Rihanna and Beyoncé’s “strong personalities”, and created a feminine and at the same time sexual collection, which included dresses made from lightweight lace, floral patterns and insect motifs, in metallic fabrics. With some 60,000 guests and more than 30,000 photos on Instagram with #MBFWRussia, the event was a success and managed to attract eyes on modern Russian fashion industry.
