Marni A/W 2014 Ready to Wear
Turning out to be accurate, these rumors left us all with the question of who is to be the next creative director of the Castiglioni legacy and the answer is Francesco Risso.
Not only Consuelo, but the entire family departs, including Mr. Castiglioni and their children Carolina and Giovanni.

As mentioned above, Marni was created by Consuelo Castilgioni in 1994, when she became known for her contributions to the design of fur stemming from her husband’s family fur business. What Consuelo focused on straight ahead, was introducing fur, as a modern, wearable fabric and not as just a fabric that can only be used in a conservative way. The label was named after her sister’s name “Marni”, and the story started to begin when her costumers were in need of something to wear with or under their fur. As the time passed, Marni evolved to a luxury brand creating ready to wear clothes, handbags, jewelry and eyewear. It is defined by its European inflected bohemianism, its colors, shapes, contrasted textures and its will not to be sexual, but chic. All we can do is hope that its unique character will remain untouchable in Francesco’s Rosso designs, which we are looking forward to seeing. Below are some of Marni’s most memorable moments throughout its history..
