When talking about collaborations, there is no other, who can do it better and bigger than H&M. After the announcement, that Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing will create a capsule collection for the mega-brand, everyone got insane and tottaly obsessed with the embroidered pieces, from the hottest IT girls of the moment, like Kendall and Gigi Hadid to famous web influencers and the die-hard H&M collaborations junkies. The luxurious-looking collection debuted in stores and online in early November and crashed the e-tailers website, before selling out immediately.

Uniqlo had also a very strong presence this year with two collaborations, both with two persons-trademarks of the modern fashion scene. Christopher Lemaire, after his departure from HERMES presented an amazing, very chic and practical collection for the brand with all the basics a woman should carry, whereas the most influential stylist and editor of our times, Carine Roitfeld offered to the Uniqlo clients a piece of her own personal style, with some of her famous unique details, such as her signature stockings or her strappy sandals respectively.

On the other hand, Alexa Chung’s friend, Christopher Kane did not a clothing collaboration, but a cosmetic one. The talented designer teamed up with NARS on a range of “day-glo” hues in holographic finishes that would make Judy Jetson proud.

A shared passion for innovation and a bold expression of style served as the driving force behind the collaborative process, bringing to life a new women’s collection that transforms classic performance icons into functional sport hybrids.
