Yesterday afternoon I visited the showroom of H&M Greece in the heart of Athens in order to take a closely look to the new H&M Studio SS16 collection!

The first thing I noticed as I walked the corridor through the main entrance of H&M’s showroom was the long wooden steps that remind me something of the carefree summer days in the beach…If I had to describe with 3 words the new H&M Studio SS16 collection these would be Tribal Print Mix.
The color scheme went from primary shades and sun-faded yellows to eggshell and tea-dyed naturals. Definitely key items are a yarn-dyed workwear blazer, functional sport leggings, a yellow sequin halterneck top and patchwork jeans, made from fabrics like silk, organic cotton and Tencel.
As Pernilla Wohlfarth, H&M’s head of design, mentioned: “H&M Studio for Spring/Summer 2016 is adventure in style. Our girl is always exploring, wheather she’s on the city streets or on the trip of a lifetime. She mixes function with feminity, sportswear with pieces for a party, and whatever she wears she always looks effortless”.
The main theme of H&M Studio SS16 is journeys; as a way of life, from finding yourself im the city to travelling into the unknown. The mix of functionality and a bohemian femininity is essential in the collection, which will be available in selected stores worldwide from February 25, 2016.
