Wang’s fashion world was based in Brooklyn this time, Navy Yard and the setting was the Duggal Greenhouse. The boots, the textures, the neon colours and the outer-space take on his Fall-Winter 2014 collection is diffused, and looks incredible. The contrast of the above against the sleekness of the models and their stark looks leave you waiting to see what the next piece will be.
Highlights: The over-the-knee riding boots, boots with shin guard-like fronts and others with slits down their backs. Beautywise, the focus was on “pure beauty” – the models’ eyebrows were completely painted over and hair was completely on the side-swept in a gentleman’s way.
For the finale, models took their places around the edge of the runway, as the lights went dim and the music got louder, wearing heat-activated laser cut leather separates and boots with slits down their backs exposing their legs.Impressive, huh?
In three words : Industrial. Dark. Powerful.
