Aēsop in Kyoto, Japan is located on a busy street in the central shopping center of Kawaramachi. It’s like an installation because of the contrast between the store design and the street which is located. It has two floors and the space is approximately 82m2. Therefore, quests can socialise on the upper floor where they will find the gallery space.
We’ ve never seen something like this before in Kyoto, Japan it’s out of the ‘’template’’, the original building structure. They used a natural colour palette like light cayenne, gray and white, lot of glass for doors, stairs and for the partitions. Additionaly, they decorated the space with cool running water. As a result, when you step into the Aēsop Kawaramachi store you will wonder where you are because of the urban decoration that blends amazingly well with the calm and peaceful atmosphere.
