There are so many ways to love someone and so many people to be loved, but who has ever imagined falling in love with his newly updated operating system? A lonely writer, Theodore, who developed an unlikely relationship with his computer. After his divorce the voice of her, makes his mind jump around of love and happiness. He has never loved anyone before like her.
Theodore Twombly (Joaquin Phoenix) is an intermediary to the future online post office, when he decides to update his operating system with the voice of Samantha (voice of Scarlett Johanson). She knows everything, she answers his every question and she reads him every new email. She even collects her favorite letters that he wrote and publish them. They are starting to have the hardest, selfless relationship. But what relationship hasn’t ups and downs?
The movie negotiates mostly with the love between a human being and a voice of an operating system and how internet now and in the upcoming future will connect and tear us apart. The dramatic romance takes place to the futuristic big cities, a new technological world where you can have a love and sexual affair with your very own operating system. It will be there to meet your every need.
