January 19th, 2014. Everyone awaits the menswear show of Saint Laurent for Fall/Winter 2014-2015. Hedi Slimane, creative director of the house, demonstrated once again his talent in menswear, presenting a range of beautiful outerwear from different materials and patterns, such as tweed, herringbone, leopard, houndstooth and stripes.
But Slimane also managed to preserve his title as “the king of cool”. After the show, a big buzz was created about Froth, the band that created the 15 minute soundtrack for his runway. “God only knows how Slimane found them” wrote Tim Blanks in style.com, since Froth have only 1,657 likes on facebook.
The band from LA reworked their song ‘General Education’ in a longer version from their record Patterns for the occasion, thanked everyone at YSL and Hedi and moreover didn’t forget to thankParis for the good time.
Check the video for getting the opportunity to watch the full show, while listening to the soundtrack.
The future only will tell if Slimane paved the way to success for the kids from California.
