FASHION ON SCREEN Presents: Diana Vreeland-The Eye Has to Travel

An intimate documentation of one of the most influential personalities in fashion and culture.

Text: Leonidas Liolios

“The Eye has to Travel” apart from a wise wish is a wonderful documentary based on the life and work of Diana Vreeland. The celebrated editor, who has defined the fashion press on its whole is seen and heard through rare footage and of course through the eyes and words of key people in fashion.

Not only it is an insight in the life of a persona who has served as editor-in-chief for Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue but it is also a true representation of her times in fashion, art, photography and social scene. From Richard Avedon’s spectacular photoshoots to Vreelands style tips for Jackie Onassis and Twiggy’s weirdness as adored in the 1960s, this documentary brings together priceless trivia not to be missed by any fashion lover.
