Hedi Slimane took us on a journey
to the rather fashionable route of rock n’ roll.

The music industry surely excites Monsieur Slimane, for it has been a perpetual source of inspiration. Under a neon installation, the creative director of Saint Laurent Paris, showcased the Spring/Summer 2014 collection of the massive fashion house. On could notice that the designer took a 180-degree turn as he replaced his grunge-meets-party silhouettes with sharp, tailored garments. A bit of 1980s –especially the disco dresses-, a detail from the Japanese street style, a touch from the Teddies and the Rockers and a lot of Bowie’s androgynous glam. The collection was a retrospective to the house’s archives. Though everything was too-short, too-tight, too-sassy, there were some fine pinstripe blazers, perfecto jackets and the old-fav tux jackets to camouflage
the over-exposed skin. Once more Monsieur Slimane has created a vast collection of stunning clothes for the rebellious spirit, the party girl, the Saint Laurent girl.
