PFW Spring 2014: Saint Laurent Paris

to the rather fashionable route of rock n’ roll.

The music industry surely excites Monsieur Slimane, for it has been a perpetual source of inspiration. Under a neon installation, the creative director of Saint Laurent Paris, showcased the Spring/Summer 2014 collection of the massive fashion house. On could notice that the designer took a 180-degree turn as he replaced his grunge-meets-party silhouettes with sharp, tailored garments. A bit of 1980s –especially the disco dresses-, a detail from the Japanese street style, a touch from the Teddies and the Rockers and a lot of Bowie’s androgynous glam. The collection was a retrospective to the house’s archives.
