Dior Fall Campaign 2013

The romantic luxury meets the powerful woman of Raf Simons

John Galliano’s successor, Raf Simons with studies in industrial and furniture design and a seven-year-old experience at Jil Sander, follows an unusual path as a fashion designer. Excellent example of that is the new campaign of the French house for fall.

The Readliners: Daria Strokous, Elise Crombez, Iselin Steiro and Mariacarla Boscono are pictured wearing creations inspired by Andy Warhol’s early drawings,’20s straights lines and revisions of the iconic Bar jacket and Arizona coat.

The models pose in a minimalistic space prevailing and conquering the camera of compatriot and longstanding  Simon’s collaborator, Willy Vanderperre. The addition of red elements as much in the background as in accessories emphasizes even more on the feminity of those musses, in other black-and-white palette that has been chosen by the Belgian designer.

With this campaign one thing is certain…even the most dubious now can admit it: Simons wins the bet!
