Milan-based, fashion house Prada, has released its Real Fantasies film for Fall-Winter 2013-2014. Once again, the initiative is curated by AMO –a think tank part of OMA. In this surreal project a simulated cityscape is revived. Ingenious, digital manipulations by Lok Jansen and Jeroen Koolhaas, compose the backdrop for our journey into Prada’s winter fashion world. The models in a film noir mood go “live” and depict their everyday instants. Men with their velvet-trimmed coat collars, ruffled shirts and leather jackets emphasize Prada’s definition for this collection, that simplicity and banality is much harder some times. On the other hand women’s attire is the perfect juxtaposition of poor and rich. Lavish furs and leather skirts equilibrate their glamour with model’s disheveled hair. While asymmetrical dresses spoil the perfection of the fabrics and the ultra sophisticated, geometrical sunglasses. If fashion is ultimately an emotion, Prada knows it better than everyone!
