The collection is inspired by the idea of translating the traditional circular frames of the intellectual avant-garde into a modern expression and it is inspired by menswear and futurism -still is in the mood of Damir Doma’s Resort 2014 collection.
Doma explained: “Eyewear model DD01 is a “historic reference to the round glasses worn by the intellectual avantgarde throughout time. Our aim was to translate the traditional shape into something modern and iconic”.
Mykita’s in-house workshop in Berlin has been supplying hand-assembled eyewear for the high-end segment since 2003. The clear design and the excellent product quality were the characteristics that make Mykita glasses a great brand on the international eyewear market. Due to collaborations with avant-garde designers, such as Bernhard Willhelm and Alexandre Herchcovitch, Mykita has appeared on international catwalks and it has been established as a feature of the fashion world.
