The talk of the town was the Haute Couture collection of Christian Lacroix for the legendary Maison Schiaparelli, which took place at the Pavillon de Flore of the Arts Décoratifs Museum in Paris.

Elsa Schiaparelli, founder of the house, was one of the most important persons of fashion in the 20th century and she was recognized for her personal sense of style and her creations in the 30s and 40s.

The talented designer, Christian Lacroix, inspired by Schiaparelli’s surrealistic designs, created eighteen looks where he mixed together vivid colours, luxurious fabrics and embroideries, giving an effect of eccentric masterpieces with theatrical esthetic and aristocratic aura.

Lacroix marks this collaboration as a dream that is the first of many in a series to honor Schiaparelli, by different artists and designers.
