Liu Wen doesn’t only dazzle us with her great catwalk appearances, but makes us love her when we see her on the street style photos. Born in Beijing, China, she started her career as a fashion model, from the Chinese editions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. She then continued to an international career path, when she walked down the catwalk Of Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier on the spring of 2008. Since then, she has become a fixture on the runways of New York, Milan and Paris, walking a total 49 shows for the Autumn/Winter 2010 season including Rodarte, Derek Lam, Michael Kors, Carolona Herrera, Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Salvatore Ferragamo and Balenciaga.

She has also starred in many fashion editorials with the world’s greatest photographers, including Patric Demarchelier, Mario Sorrenti, Terry Richardson and Dan Jackson.  In 2010 she was the first Chinese model to have signed a contract with Estée Lauder.

Her simple yet sophisticated style has caught the attention of the street style photographers the past couple of years, and every season during fashion week, we see photos of Liu form outside the shows. Her stylistic choices include basic items such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, trousers and sneakers or boots, which have a sporty and boyish feel in combination with her girly attitude. She keeps accessories to the minimum but we often see her wearing long and voluminous scarves.
