Love Gold

This year in Cannes we saw, not only the films and the fabulous red carpet appearances, but also the ultimate fashion show for the extraordinaire jewelry collection Love gold.

Carine Roitfeld was the curator of this extremely successful fashion show at the famed Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, where famous brands such us Pamela Love, Bulgari, Eddie Borgo and many more paraded. The main theme, of course, was Gold, with an additional special tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. Famous models like Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls and Alessandra Ambrosio walked on the catwalk,  all wearing golden dresses and gold jewelry, from head to toe. Flashy looks from Tom Ford and Thom Browne, Versace and Valentino, Marc Jacobs and Moncler, Dior, Comme des Garçons, Prada, Ralph Lauren and Rick Owens were included.

The show staged at the nonprofit’s Cinema against AIDS Gala at the Cannes Film Festival. “For certain designers, the cost of gold is a barrier to entry”, said Sally Morrison, LoveGold’s director of jewelry. Lovegold is an online platform for the World Gold Council, and this time combined beautiful fashion designers with something really special as gold.
