Future Shorts, the short films event of Athens is returning once again at a different place of the capital. On May 31st and June 1st, Exile Room at Monastiraki will host this small festival. With the price -just 4 euros per ticket- making it even more alluring, we will definitely make an appearance.
100 YEARS MAX LINDER
Max Linder was the man that Charlie Chaplin used to refer to as his teacher. He is also considered to be the first comedian star of the movies history. Starting his career as a jongleur, he could have never imagined how life would evolve for him. He starred in 212 movies in total and directed 102. The Greek Film Archive hosts his work for the first time ever in Greece with a program specially dedicated to the movie star. Starting today, May 30th, eight of his movies will be presented. This celebrated, vintage pop band, will visit Greece for four concerts in four different cities. This Friday, May 31st, the American music band from Los Angeles, will perform and present their first album at the Fuzz Club in Athens. The Kinks, the Animals, Bob Dylan and the Byrds, are among others the band’s inspiration. Don’t miss their live show!
The American artist who spends her time equally between Athens, London and New York, is very well-known for combining many forms of art in one, her own unique style. Video art, drawing, sculpture and photography are only a few of the methods the artist uses in order to express herself. At the gallery Bernier/Eliades, you will be able to visit one of her most recent installations dedicated to the role of emotions in art and the importance of music in general.
