Time goes by so fast and summer is just around the corner. Here’s what this week’s agenda suggests for the last official week of spring.
STAND UP GUYS

DEE DEE BRIDGEWATER
Gazarte presents a legend of jazz music. On May 24th and May 25th Mrs. Bridgewater, Grammy and Tony laureate, will shine on the stage of Gazarte with her band. Together they will present 40 years of glamorous jazz music to a greek audience that loves her and follows her for years and years.
CONSTANTINE MANOS, A GREEK PORTFOLIO 50 YEARS LATER
The Benaki Museum presents a tribute to a renowned Greek photographer. Manos invites us to travel with him to remote villages and islands of Greece in the 1960s. In a landscape of simple farm life and tranquillity, poor yet proud people struggle to survive with passion and dignity. Many of us will realize that this lifestyle hasn’t changed at all for centuries and we all somehow have memories like these. A nostalgic context with a very modern look. The exhibition will last until August 2013.
DIOR GLAMOUR 1952-1962
Rizzoli Publications, present a new book/tribute to maison Dior, focused on the glamour of the 1950s era. The book’s context is a selection of the lavish and iconic gowns of Christian Dior, captured by the legendary photographer Mark Shaw. From stunning and flamboyant fashion editorials to rare moments of Christian Dior during fittings and from models and socialites, to the biggest stars of the time. Haute couture at its best in one book.
