“Marrying the worlds of architecture, art and design, I chose to photograph each subject in her work environment-namely art galleries and fine-art institutions”. Reed Krakoff
Text: Christina Zikou
US designer Reed Krakoff recently added photography to his long list of talents. The Parsons School of Design alumni, who had previously worked for Ralph Lauren and Anne Klein, before taking over as President and Executive Director of Coach and launching his own design house in 2010, is to present his very first book with Assouline, Women in Art: Figures of Influence, which features intimate black-and-white portraits of leading women in the contemporary art world, including Valentina Castellani, Almine Rech, Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn, Dominique Lévy, Marianne Boesky and Lucy Chadwick.
On May 14th, the multi-talented designer and photographer signed his book at the Parisian concept store Colette ahead of its publication in June, offering us a unique window into the feminine side of the world of art.
The book is available for pre-order via the Assouline site
