When was the last time you paid a visit to a museum?

It’s the international museum day, today. An annual holiday, a hymn to the places that honors art, culture and history. Do visit a museum, whether you are a fan or not, for the entry is free and there’s no time limit – the will be open till midnight. Visit the National Gallery, where the curators themselves will give a tour throughout the gallery. Have a coffee at the marvelous garden of the Monetary Museum, and do enjoy a series of events for both adults and children that will be held there. Some of the museums, such us the Archeological museum will share a two-day celebration. Do have a chat with the famous Karyatides, in the Museum of Acropolis, for they will keep us company till the late. Down to the Irakleidon Museum, visitors will have a chance to find about the interaction between Mathematics, Philosophy and Art through the masterpieces of M.C Escher and Victor Vasarely, under the guidance of the mathematicians and the curators of the gallery. Shop at the Art Shop, that is held in the B&M Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts & Music, after you watch the “2001: A Space Odyssey” by THE Stanley Kubrick along with the paintings of Xristos Karras, wotks of art that are consisted of dramatic, expressionistic synthesis with a touch of space.
