Based on F. S. Fitzgerald’s masterpiece, the new line of Brooks Brothers promises to make all boys look like another Robert Redford. Or Leonardo Di Caprio, if you prefer so.

Another remake of F. S. Fitzgerald’s all time classic novel has already been aired in theatres. The highly anticipated 2013 version of the Great Gatsby is finally here and, besides the beautiful cast (starring Leonardo Di Caprio and Currey Mulligan) and Baz Luhrmann’s amazing direction, there is of course the clothing part that draws our attention, leaving us in complete awe. While Miuccia Prada is the face behind the female costumes of this movie, the men’s outfits were exclusively created by Brooks Brothers in collaboration with the movie’s stylist Katherine Martin.
[By the way, did you know that the late Greek costume designer Theoni Vachlioti created the costumes of the original film in 1974, receiving the Academy award for Best Costumes for that?]
The American clothing company managed to create a series of both preppy and sporty outfits, which happen to be absolutely representative of the way Gatsby used to dress. The good news is that this line is now available for purchase, so hurry up already!
“Brooks Brothers is mentioned several times in Fitzgerald’s writings as a representation of the ultimate gentleman’s purveyor of fine clothing to the American man of distinction”, said Katherine Martin.
