Who doesn’t want a little bit of Maria Antoinette’s glam in her wardrobe?

Along with the alluring presence of Elena Paparizou, Konstantinos Melis by Laskos presented a brand new collection. Brocade dresses from the finest of materials, bows, romance and flowers. Rococo’s levity meets the ethereal spirit of Romanticism. A rather fairy tale collection, entitled “Secret Box”, a medium with which the designer Giannis Melis managed to transform the runway into a fashion wonderland. Voluminous brocade corsets were bottomed with dramatic, inches-below-the-knee ballerina’s skirts or ultra-chic floral shorts. Va-va-voum, maxi dresses embellished with bows and blossoms were made from the most fine-meets-peculiar textiles –some of them where almost invisible. Louis-inspired heels and a rather pale pink make-up, made the atmosphere more Versaille-ish. Like the colour palette of Rococo, the collection was in pastel shades with baby blue, beige and pink to stand out. A collection full of fanfare and vintage glam that was screaming “Give them Cake”.
