ARCHITECTURE: Zaha Hadid, Sculptural Furniture

Leave it to the famous Iraqi-British architect to take over one of the most prestigious international furniture exhibitions

The 2013 Salone Internazionale del Mobile is an annual design exhibition that takes place in Milan, attracting some of the greatest designers and design fans from all over the world. Every April, the best in furniture, fixtures and products is being showcased and this year, Zaha Hadid’s projects are probably the show standouts.

Her latest work incorporates the architect’s dynamic forms and powerful ideas. From chairs and sofas to tables, benches and lamps, her sculptural aesthetic is manifest and very impressive. Black and white were dominant in her collection, as well as her high-tech approach with translucent materials.
