From Lipstick, to Leather, to Dorian (for Dorian Gray)
Text: Danae Terzakou
Exhibition, an annual publication created for those who are committed to the luxury and opulence, published its third issue during Paris Fashion Week. A blend of art and contemporary culture, luxury, gorgeousness and a great deal of decadence. This year’s issue drew inspiration from an emblematic figure of Victorian literature: Dorian Gray, from the regalia to companionship, everything in Oscar Wilde’s book is about, is rendered in a pop way. “The artist can express everything”, Oscar Wilde wrote in preface to Dorian Gray, inviting everyone to act similarly: to overcome the moral values corsetaient time. Τhroughout its 140 pages it brings out the distinctive signs of opulence and excess.
The new issue includes works by (clockwise): Boris Ovini, Emma Summerton, Ben Hassett, Daniel Jackson, Gisèle Vienne (Performing artist), Lachlan Bailey, Suzie Q & Leo Siboni, Elena Rendina, Guido Mocafico, Leon Mark, & Stephane Pelletier. A book for those who seek greatness and beauty in harmony with their dark side.
