A rich culture with a lot of mystery, a detailed architecture, ancient houses, colorful open markets filled with bright kaftans, shimmering silk, hypnotizing Arabic melodies and tile mosaics, served as an ideal influence for the UGG spring/summer 2013 collection. Called ‘Moroccan Mystique’, the collection looks so dreamy and colorful, thanks to the vibrant colors, prints, patterns, rich fabrics and unique textures used.
UGG Australia presents, for the Spring-Summer 2013 Women Collection, colorful sporty canvas sneakers, fringed loafers, leopard printed or nude flip flop sandals, wedge sandals with prints and details and wedge ankle booties, all having a sweet flavor of fascinating Marrakesh.
Besides the lovely designs and ethnic touch, UGG Australia is welcoming into the family a new arrival, The ‘Bailey Charms Boot’. Rooted in the rich, festive culture of Marrakesh, the Bailey Charms embellishes the collection-defining wooden logo button and elastic band closure with wooden beads, suede tassels, and an elaborately etched patch.
Capturing the ethnic elements and Morocco vibe, UGG Australia also launched a men’s shoes collection based on sneakers, with the innovative sole “Vibram”, designed exclusively for UGG. The collection presents new designs and styles in earthy colors and Moroccan-inspired striped lining, with canvas and mat details.
It is worth mentioning that the lookbook of the new collection was shot in Marrakesh by Brazilian Barbara Fialho, who takes us to a romantic and vivid tour around this thriving ancient city. There is no doubt that the images are dreamy and inspirational!
