“Diamantissima” is the new old
Created in 1930’s, this diamond-like pattern was originally applied to canvas in order to decorate handbags during the World War II, when there was leather shortage. This pattern made of lozenges of small diamond joined together on a brown background used to be the first symbol of the famous Italian fashion house, Gucci, and remained unused until now. Almost 80 years later, Frida Giannini, the house’s creative director, decided to resubmit it in the new precious “Diamantissima” collection of necklaces, earrings and rings of delicate yellow gold. Vintage yet modern and stylish, just unique.
