The master of the italian “Alta Moda”, Valentino celebrates his 50-year career with an exhibition at Somerset House in London.

A 60-meter catwalk is installed inside Somerset House in London for the retrospective spanning 50 years of the work of the fashion designer Valentino Garavani. The exhibition will make the visitors feel like models, walking along the 60-meter catwalk to view the designs, which are exhibited in a sitting position, as if they are the audience.
The gowns that are presented are more than 130, all of them hand-crafted and worn by the most glorious women of all times. Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Princess Marie-Chantal are some names that have honoured Valentino, by wearing his creations. In addition, there are some red-carpet looks like the black dress that Julia Robert wore in the 2001 Oscars, some notes from the personal archive of the designer and also, some parts of movies showing him working will be screened.
Somerset House has hosted some of the most famous exhibitions and since 2009 is the place where fashion week takes place. One more exquisite partnership that will be feast for the eyes.
