Harper Seven Beckham might be the world’s most stylish baby at the moment but it was another member of the “Becks” that made a modeling debut first.
Romeo Beckham, David and Victoria’s middle son, aged 10, stars in Burberry’s new advertisement campaigns, which feature a mixture of Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London and Burberry Brit clothing. Alongside Romeo we can also see Edie Campbell and Cara Delevingne, who are already considered to be Burberry’s favourites. Other models, like Charlotte Wiggins, Alex Dunstan, Charlie France and Max Rendell appear as well, but “It was the middle Beckham boy that was a joy to work with and really stole the show”, as Burberry’s chief creative officer Christopher Bailey, said.
Having a young and fresh person, like Romeo, sporting the house’s most classic piece –the trench coat- in a campaign shot by Mario Testino, is a win-win concept. According to Bailey, “This season’s campaign lights up with the infectious energy of an amazing young cast of old and new Burberry family. We had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images, which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection.”
