When haute cuisine combines with high fashion the result is the Hilton’s “Taste the fashion” event.
It is an avant-garde, fashion and gourmet charity dinner, where three top Greek chefs cooked inspired by three leading fashion houses. On the 29th of March, workshopaholics from fashion styling class were backstage all day long, helping the models get dressed. Students from the fashion journalism class filled the “goody bags” with presents for the guests. And three students –including moi– were at the reception desk, helping people to find their seats.
We had the great pleasure to attend the event; we watched the surprising Salvatore Ferragamo while tasting the appetizer Yannis Manikis prepared, Nicholas Guesquiere amazing Balenciaga SS12 line as we were served Lefteris’ Lazarou main course and Frida’s Giannini edgy collection for Gucci accompanied by Christoforos’Peskias strawberry and yoghurt desert.
I have to admit that they were delicious. Fashionistas of all kind were there. Some fashionably late, some fashionably up to date and some unfashionably all the way.
The revenues of the lottery where given to the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer “ELPIDA”.
