The return of an icon: Gucci Stirrup Bag

Text: Mariannie Samara

This season Gucci house presents the new version of the classic Stirrup bag which appeared for the first time back in 1975.

The Stirrup bag bares a unique characteristic: the shape of the fastening is an actual stirrup used in horse riding, so that the rider can climb on the horse.

The overall sense of the previous Stirrup bag is obvious in the new version as well. The original hard frame stays the same. However, the new one is more functional. There are two versions: The classic Stirrup is just like the original and the Soft Stirrup is softer and more flexible. This new shape applies to every modern woman; practical but also elegant.

The Stirrup bag comes in a variety of luxurious materials such as crocodile, python and ostrich.

It comes also in sophisticated colours among which the most amazing are the white, bordeaux, leopard and camel.
