L.T.C.H. – Lotocoho Jewelry

Text: Sophia Karagianni

L for Lopez, T for Tomich, C for Conde and H for Hockensmith. Anna Tomich Hockemsmith and Jorge Lopez Conde create jewels that consist pieces of art, inspired by natural forms. The Lotocoho brand was founded in 2010.

Anna Tomich was brought up in Houston Texas and after extensive travelling she now lives and works in Madrid. Jorge Lopez Conde from Spain, is an almost-architect, almost-designer, almost-photographer, almost-dj, as he described himself.

Translating landscapes and signs into jewelry, Anna and Jorge have created their first collection called «Ergonomic Territories». Once the signs and its context has been investigated, like the Atlas by Aby Warburg, they translate those signs according to geometric rules and convert them into symbols.

The collection is an infinite system of creation and is made up of rings, fibulas or brooches, bracelets and different elements that complement the anatomy. Each piece from this collection carries a philosophy and contains a story or a legend.

It is worth mentioning that Lotocoho has been a part of the fair and catwalk in the Haute Couture week in Paris. Although the brand has been in the spot for a short period of time, it is very promising and it seems like it is here to stay.
