Fifty Shades of Pink

Text: Marianne Samara

Another surprising trend of this year, is the colour pink. It comes, of course, in its own winter version and in many shades. Some designers showed it in heavy textiles, such as wool. Oscar de la Renta,  Dsquared, Celine, Marc Jacobs and Moschino Cheap’n’Chic were among them.

Or fur, as in Nina Ricci, Loewe, Celine and Blumarine.

Blumarine showed versions in metallic pink.

The interesting part is that we are facing many different shades of pink. Isabel Marant’s and Balmain’s pink was more powder-like,

Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and Diane Von Furstenberg came in pure pink…

…while Custo Barcelona and Bottega Veneta showed us cyclamen pink.

Sophia Kokosalaki decided to go with coral pink..

and Chloe with salmon pink.

Lastly, Givenchy, Nina Ricci and No 21 went for an almost pastel/white shade of pink..
