The campaigns of the resort collections arrived just in time for Christmas holidays to exotic and warm places. Choose the one you like and cruise, even imaginatively, to your favorite destination.
Frida Giannini, creative director of the Italian house Gucci, recruits Karmen Pedaru and Joan Smalls to present the Resort collection. The advertising campaign is photographed by the talented duo Mert & Marcus, who captured the pastel colors and luxury bags of the fashion house in a garden party setting.
Versailles is the inspiration behind Chanel’s Resort collection for 2013, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. Cara Delevingne and Saskia de Brauw are chosen to revive the atmosphere of French aristocracy, in a luxurious setting of gold that emphasizes the designs of the classic fashion house.
Karlie Kloss presents Donna Karan’s Resort collection looking stunning in ethereal gowns. The designer provides us with body hugging and romantic silhouettes for our vacations, so as to look and feel like goddesses. The creative direction was made by Laird & partners.
Steven Meisel captures the athletic spirit of Prada’s Resort collection, starring the Russian top model Sasha Pivovarova. For Resort 2013, Miuccia Prada combines successfully athletic shapes with glamorous accessories.
Women power is all over the place in Miu Miu’s Resort campaign. Hilary Rhoda, Jessica Stam, Candice Swanepoel and Daphne Groeneveld are some of the models that star in the it, photographed by Steven Meisel, who knows best how to give prominence to the Italian’s brand retro designs.
“Forever dolphin love” is playing on the background and models Caroline Brach Nielsen, Liya Kebede and Liu Wen, among others, are walking in a misty room, under the instructions of the director of the video, Steven Meisel. Nicolas Ghesquiere’s inspiration for the Cruise collection derived from ballet and the contrast between the clothes and the setting is highlighted in the video.
Photographer Karim Sadli shots the Dutch model Patricia van der Vliet in front of a painted sea. The concept and Vliet’s elegant posing designate the brand’s minimal aesthetic and low key glamour.
