Living in the MoMa

Glenn D. Lowry, director of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, accomplished something that none of his predecessors had ever imagined… Mr. Lowry and his wife live in an apartment of a tower above the museum. The 6 million dollars apartment belongs to the museum and the director is very honored, as he mentioned, not only to work but also to live in a place full of art, where other important people have worked in the past.

According to the New York Times, Mr. Lowry is the most highly paid museum director ever, with an income that overcomes the 1 million dollars per year. His stay at MoMA’s apartment is free and his access to the museum’s trust fund is unlimited. His free use of that money gave him the opportunity to enlarge the museum’s facilities by 85.000 square meters- which cost them 900 million dollars!

The highly- paid director, seems on the other hand to be humble with his preferences; he claims that Uniqlo black turtlenecks and his Nike watch are the only things he needs in his everyday life. His tailored suits however scream by far that stylish Mr. Lowry is keeping us a secret…
