Athens International Movie Festival September 19th- September 30th

After seventeen years of success, “Premiere nights” are back. Athens has it’s own film festival which is determined to inform the Athenians about the upcoming films. Twelve days of successive movie premieres, parties and other festivities will keep every cinephile busy for the next week. The official beginning of the festival will take place on September 22nd with the movie “Rust and Bone”, starring Marion Cotillard. 2012 Fashion’s Night Out 

Vogue Hellas organizes fashion’s biggest celebration for the fourth consecutive year. Parties, discounts, and special events will take place in the shops of Athens today, September 20th. Designers and fashion houses around the world, join forces in order to solemnize fashion and enhance the market. Thessaloniki will also host a unique party dedicated to fashion on September 25th. 

Sebastien Tellier in Athens

The multi talented star of the french ambient pop-electronica music will perform in Athens this Friday, September 21st. Where? At “BIOS”, an amazing place where urban culture and contemporary art meet. “BIOS” is celebrating it’s 10th birthday with this unique live event. Don’t miss it!

Oedipus the King

 

The Athenian tragedy by Sophocles, in a modern version, is our theatrical proposal of the week. In case you missed the show this summer, you have one last chance to watch this timeless play about human guilt. The “Petra Theater” in Petroupoli, will host the event on September 24th.
